The Filipina SEO Campaign
The campaign , How to Reshape the Filipina’s Image Online has been going on for more than a month now. It is not the first time that a similar Filipina campaign has been initiated. There was one from Search Engine Optimization Expert (SEO), Marc Macalua; The Filipina and “Yan ang Pinay”, Fabulous Filipina Presence and many more other sites.
A thought occurred to me that the Filipina Campaign should be sustained at all times because these other dating and mail order Filipina sites optimize their sites to the max.
The basis for the new Filipina campaign was in part culled from the Philippines’ SEO Expert Rhiza advice.
Sitewide links, not just links from one blog post. Most of our sites po have PageRanks already. Everyone who would like to participate would have the link “Filipina” on their sidebars or footers, linking to a particular site that we want to rank. What about badges? I think it’s a creative linkbuilding technique too. All Filipina bloggers with a badge that says, “Proudly Filipina” (or something), and then we all link to one site.
That one ultimate site could be a portal of sorts too, eventually. A site that would feature Filipina bloggers or something to that effect.
It is for that reason that I chose the Filipina Women’s Network as the “Filipina” link since it ranks well in the Search Engine Results Page (SERPs) but the goal is to eventually rank it as number 1.
